First Day of School!

After daycare being closed for 3 days for Staff Development, the girls went back to school today. Ali Grace started in her Pre-K room and Audrey Caroline went into the "crawler" room. Both girls did great, but neither were very cooperative on taking pictures.

 Audrey Caroline moved into a room for crawlers. She will be in this room until she begins to walk. Her teacher's name is Ms Susan. Ali Grace had Ms Susan at this age, so I know Audrey Caroline will be in good hands. Ms Susan told me this morning that AC is the only girl and she reminded me that AG was the only girl when she was in her class. I did get a report from the director mid morning telling me that Audrey Caroline was doing great in her new room. I think that she likes the toys better. ha! The 2nd day is our true test, so we will see how tomorrow works out.

 Ali Grace started her last first day of daycare. I can't believe that she only has one more year of daycare. Billy and I debated sending Ali Grace to K4 or keeping her at daycare one more year. Her really good friends were going to the Academy because they had older sisters already going. We made a pro and con list and daycare won. The Academy is closed more days plus daycare we would only have one more drop off. We also figured that the PreK curriculum at daycare would be just as good. Ali Grace was a little disappointed, but was fine. She asked if she could go see her old teacher, Miss Ashley and stay with her. I told her she could not and she looked a little disappointed. Miss Ashley was a great teacher, but I know that she will soon lover her new teacher Ms Sara.

My little girl ready to learn...she asked if she was going to learn to ready her first day...I told her to give it some time. My social child did get in trouble for talking her first day. She was making her friends laugh at nap time. I asked her why she was being silly and talking at nap time and she told me that everyone always wants to talk to her because she is so funny.
